SNOHOMISH KIWANIS ENLISTS SUPPORT FOR FLOOD VICTIMS

Tim and Tracy Stocker, relatives of one of our members and farmers who have experienced the effects of several Snohomish River floods, have a plan to assist those devastated by flooding in Southwest Washington.  They have asked us to aid their plan to deliver a semi-truck load of necessities to those in need.   We are appealing to Kiwanis members throughout divisions 21 and 22 to help the accomplish their goal.

Here is what is needed. (New or “gently used” items that you would like in your home): Space heaters, pots and pans, toasters and appliances of all sizes (especially electric skillets), sundries and cleaning supplies, non perishable food, pet food, furniture (big demand), clothing, infant supplies, bedding, cash cards, etc.

Items may be left at “Hidden Meadows” 11805 Springhetti Rd.,  Snohomish, WA (no need to call ahead, just pull in the driveway and put it in the first barn), or at the Snohomish Soccer Dome, 511 Maple Ave., Snohomish, WA between the hours of 9:00-4:00), week days.  The plan is to leave for the flood area the first of February, so all materials need to be gathered by January 30.

This is a great opportunity for all area clubs to demonstrate what KIWANIS is all about!  Let us see what we can do regarding such a great opportunity to serve those who have suffered so much and are our Washington State neighbors

Great Job Edmonds........Wally

Dear 2007-2008 District Team,

Just a quick note to let you know that Governor Rich has been getting quite a few inquiries from clubs asking when the 2007-2008 Governor's Project information would come out.
Actually, the Governor's Project was announced in the last edition of ETC! and has been up on the District website since that time!
Governor Rich made a modification to the Governor's Project flyer today and would like us all to use the corrected version -- rather than the one that was up before.
You can download the corrected copy from
http://www.pnwkiwanis.org/PNWKIResources/govsproj.html
Lt. Governors -- please make sure that all of your club presidents and secretaries know where to find this.  They can either go to the above link, click on the link in the Hot Box -- or we also currently have it as a headline/link on the District homepage.
Thanks very much for helping us get the word out on this.
