Chartered in 1978 through the efforts
of the Lynnwood Kiwanis Club, our club, The Kiwanis Club of Edmonds
Seniors is a spirited group of senior ladies and gentlemen who are
dedicated to serving our community with the focus on young children and
adolescents. Grandparents, Veterans, retirees, travelers, and interested
citizens -- we have much to share and contribute.
Meetings
are held each Tuesday morning from 10 to 11:AM at the South County Senior
Center - 220 Railroad Avenue - Edmonds. Parking in two locations, at
the Center or the parking lot on the corner of Railroad Avenue and West
Dayton as it approaches Admiral Way near Arnie's Restaurant, is very
convenient. We meet upstairs (elevator access) in the room with the best
view in our Kiwanis Division! (See photos below!)
A wide
variety of interesting, entertaining, and often very stimulating half hour
programs are offered at 10:30 AM, during our meeting. We are a busy
group, engaged in several projects throughout the year, from food drives,
clean up beach patrols, sponsoring Meadowdale High School Key Club, to
providing bike helmets to local gradeschool kids and lots in between. We
also sell the famous Skagit Valley berries - - strawberries, raspberries
and blueberries to raise funds to enable us to do these things.
You are invited to join us any
Tuesday morning for fun and lively fellowship, coffee and snacks, great
programs, and an opportunity to serve your community.
