JULY NOTES July is going to be short changed because the Publisher of the Tidal Tales will not be returning to Edmonds until July lOth. These two pages are for July! Important dates, Greeters, Birthdays, and on Page two, the Interclubs, which aren't ready at press time and the Programs, not ready either. When the agenda for the July 13, meeting is compiled, any updates I have will be included. In the meantime, I am leaving a blank place for hand written inclusions.

Comments from Lt. Gov. Rod Vroman: Our Division 22 supported a Circle K Scholarship, sending a college student to International Convention. We gave $700.00 to the Children's Hosqital via the Phil Smart Endowment Fund. Tribute to Phil and thank you for his fine Zone Conference Speech. |

Our Div. 22 has a wonderful WEB site. Jim Rahm, John Bruce and Wally Walsh have worked hard to get this established and accountable. It certainly puts the PNW WEB site to shame. As of the date of this publication, there is still nothing about the convention in Eugene other than the date. The convention is in mid-August. Lots about the Growth Conferences that didn't include our Division; Sylvestor Neal's and John Yegge's Sign Venture with the Richland Kiwanis Club, (What happened to Louise's Governor's YCPO Project?) Actually, what happened to Louise? We haven't seen or heard from her in months. The May-June Builder that should be here by mid-May and have registration forms has not been received yet. Couldn't even find it or the March-April one on the PNW WEB site. It seems as if basic priorities are being ignored or changed here. Planning for the PNW convention overlooked for, what? Ignoring membership does not make for increased participation. Growth conferences aside, it's your average contributing member who holds Kiwanis together. We are needed, we supply the thread.. |
